STYLE//The Hidden Hat Maker: Hats by Selima

The name Selima is typically synonymous with eyewear. However, in March 2009 that all changed when Hats By Selima was born out of a partnership with close friend Virginie Promeyrat. The Gamine was lucky enough to be invited to the hidden atelier today where all of the handmade hat making goes down! Virginie was so kind and helped to find the perfect pieces for an upcoming photo shoot. Below are the pieces we will use on set and that are some of Virginie’s favorites.

The atelier is located in the basement below Bond 07 by Selima at 7 Bond Street and visitors can shop either the ready-to-wear collection or make an appointment to get fitted for a custom piece.
